Austere Medicine

Course Outlines

Austere Medicine is the provision of patient care by a medical professional, allied health-care professional, trained layman, or well-meaning bystander in any environment in which definitive medical care or access to requisite resources may be frustrated, resulting in an increased likelihood of negative health outcomes for the patient.

Our AFA, AAFA, and AFR programs meet or exceed the certification standards published by the WMEC for the corresponding level, and are issued as dual certifications.
