CPR & AED
4 Hours, F2F or Hybrid.
This course teaches participants to provide CPR and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely and effective manner.
This course has no prerequisites and is suitable for participants with no prior training. Upon successful completion, participants receive certification, valid for three (3) years.
Introduction to First Aid
8 Hours, F2F or Hybrid.
This course is a general introduction to first aid. This course is comprised of three modules: 1) CPR & AED, 2) Major Ilness and 3) Trauma & Injury.
This course has no prerequisites and is suitable for participants with no prior training. Upon successful completion, participants receive a completion card.
Standard First Aid
16 Hours, F2F or Hybrid.
This course is designed to teach participants the knowledge and skills necessary to provide competent first aid to patients presenting with common injuries and ilnesses.
This course has no prerequisites and is suitable for participants with no prior training. Upon successful completion, participants receive certification, valid for three (3) years.
First Aid at Work
24 Hours, F2F or Hybrid, or 8 Hours F2F for current SFA or AFA certificants.
This course expands on the curriculum of standard first aid, including modules on oxygen administration, occupational health and safety, incident management, incident respose planning and emergency evacuation.
This course has no prerequisites and is suitable for participants with no prior training. Upon successful completion, participants receive certification, valid for three (3) years.
Paediatric First Aid
24 Hours, F2F or Hybrid, or 8 Hours F2F for current SFA or AFA certificants.
This course expands on the curriculum of standard first aid, including modules on infant and child CPR, infant respiratory emergencies, objects in ear/eyes/nose/throat, dental trauma, poisoning and meningitis.
This course has no prerequisites and is suitable for participants with no prior training. Upon successful completion, participants receive certification, valid for three (3) years.
Elder Care First Aid
24 Hours, F2F or Hybrid, or 8 Hours F2F for current SFA or AFA certificants.
This course expands on the curriculum of standard first aid, including modules on senescence, cardiovascular problems, heat and cold-related illness, falls and mobility.
This course has no prerequisites and is suitable for participants with no prior training. Upon successful completion, participants receive certification, valid for three (3) years.
Outdoor Recreation First Aid
24 Hours, F2F or Hybrid, or 8 Hours F2F for current SFA or AFA certificants.
This course expands on the curriculum of standard first aid, including modules on environmental medicine, snake bites, traumatic brain injury and spine injury.
This course has no prerequisites and is suitable for participants with no prior training. Upon successful completion, participants receive certification, valid for three (3) years.
Emergency Aid Level 4 - UK Scouts
5-6 Hours of Elearning & 2 x 30 Minute Zoom calls
This course is designed for young people from the age of 10 through 18 and meets the requirements of Module K for young leaders.
This course is designed for youth members of the UK Scout Association. Upon successful completion, participants can earn the EA4 staged activity badge.
Emergency Aid Level 5 - UK Scouts
6-8 Hours of Elearning & 2 x 1 Hour Zoom calls
This course is designed for young people from the age of 10 through 18 and exceeds the requirements of First Response.
This course is designed for youth members of the UK Scout Association. Upon successful completion, participants can earn the EA5 staged activity badge.
First Response (10A) - UK Scouts
4-6 Hours of Elearning & 2 x 1 Hour Zoom calls
This course is designed for volunteers in the UK Scout Association and meets the requirements for First Response (Module 10A).
This course does not include Module 10B. Upon successful completion, participants have validate module 10A with their TA.
Advanced First Aid
40 Hours, F2F or Hybrid
The definitive first aid course, this course expands on the traditional first aid scope, including modules on airway management, oxygen administration and motor vehicle accidents and expands further trauma management, brain injury, spine injury, incident command and triage. It is recommended participatnts complete SFA before attending this course. Participants receive certification, valid for three (3) years.
